Mr. V. Thangavel was the first Principal of the college from 1978, followed by Mr. BalachandraIyer. The next Principal was Mr. Mahavathen, then Hon. S. Navaratnam. Mr. Navaratnam, who served the college for 16 years , retired on his 60th birthday in June 2008. The college grew a lot during his tenure. The Mathematics, Science and Commerce sections of the K.T.A.B.E. were started and he was instrumental in raising the standards of these sections . Many students got admission in various colleges during this period. Many physical resources like the lecture hall, library, multimedia unit, science laboratory and students' hostel built during his tenure are still being used by the students today. He also introduced the College of Arts and Sciences during his time. Every year , about 50-65 students pass the Grade 5 Secondary Examination with remarkable results. Many students have secured 10 "A" grades in the G.A.C.E. Ordinary Level Examination. Many students who studied in this college are now doctors, doctors and accountants. He received a letter of appreciation from the Secretary of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka, President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga, for his excellent achievements in high-quality production nationwide . Due to this fame of this college, his time was called "the golden age of this college".

After the retirement of Mr. N. Vijayendran, who was the Principal of the college since 2008, Mr. A. Selvanayagam, who took office as the next Principal of the college on 2008.11.01, retired on 2012.06.12. During his tenure, the academic performance of the college was very prominent. For example, in 2010, in the fifth grade scholarship examination, it secured the second place in the district with an average pass rate of 36 percent in 2010 and the first place in the district with a pass rate of 40 percent in 2011. Next, two students in 2009 and four students in 2010 passed as students with 9A in the G.C.E. Ordinary Examination. In addition, 123 students were selected for the G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in 2010 and 77 students were selected as students who passed the examination ; Of these, 63 percent of the students have been selected for university.

It is noteworthy that the Department of Technology (2017) was also started during the tenure of Mr.S.Anandasivam, Principal. The immense support given by the Vice Principals, Management Team, dedicated teaching staff, School Development Committee, Old Students' Association and other well-wishers is of utmost importance.

Mr. V. Thavaraja also led our college well during his tenure through excellent management.

During Mr. Ravidas's tenure, the Innovation Lab, a meeting space, a computer room, and smart board facilities were created and provided to the elementary section. A website and YouTube channel for the school have been created.
